Our Earth

Our world has become a fragile place and although as we progress we invent more ideas and science becomes more innovative, it is not always enough to keep up with the problems we create.  The world is quickly becoming over populated and with an excess amount of humans comes an excess of problems all that have to be solved by smaller groups of people.  Although it’s not easy to put one major problem over another, saving the actual earth we live on should always be a priority.  As humans we are overly greedy and consume more than our planet has to offer, but sustainability can help us solve many of our problems.  Inventing and spreading more sustainable products can help in multiple ways.  It can bring people out of poverty; it can create greener energy, increase communication, and further education in all parts of the world.  We have to respect the earth that we live on, and by create ways to sustain our own pampered living we can pull our own weight without taking out a large toll on the planet.  The videos demonstrate the variety of ways that we can help both the environment and people in poverty to advance society and make the world a better place.  There is technology to teach people and devices to lead to healthier living.  Many ideas even come from other parts of nature.  Scientists have taken ideas from the way certain organisms are designed or act, because they are capable of great feats without having a detrimental impact on the earth.  Consumerism is the leading cause for the need of sustainable products.  As consumers we are using up most of the earths resources, especially the non-renewable resources.  Creating more sustainable products will allow consumer rates to increase.  With more sustainable products people can buy more products without the increase in price due to low product availability.  In addition with our sustainable products available, people in other countries can become potential consumers, especially with the new sustainable technology that improves their lives.  I would invent a cap that goes on any kind of aerosol spray that filters out the particles that are bad for the air and environment without altering the composition of the product.  It would be in the spray caps of hair spray, spray deodorant, spray paint, and any other type of spray product that adds volatile organic compounds to the ground ozone layer.  They will contribute to a sustainable world by helping reduce our contribution to global warming and the hole in the ozone.
