Holding a Belief

The phrase “I believe” is often used in argumentative debates or discussions.

When an individual starts a statement with “I believe”, it means they are about to express their own personal feelings and perceptions of the topic discussed. In most cases, this also means that the particular individual holds a firm belief in something and has a strong certainty and assurance about their belief. Being able to say “I believe” allows everyone to be different and hold their unique opinions about life in general. It lets us attain our specific views of what’s right and what’s wrong in society. Humans are very dogmatic and opinionated people and believing in something only defends an argument. Being able to share different perceptions and beliefs is what makes life so great and meaningful. Without certain people sharing and listening to others beliefs then some industries would not exist and there would no longer be any innovations. Everything in the world relies on communicating with others and distributing ideas and beliefs to others. When you don’t believe in something then you don’t care about it. If individuals do not have confidence in there beliefs, then the world would be completely different than how it is today.

            I believe in several things, but if I were to rule out my faith and any religious beliefs I would still hold many opinions about our world and how it works best. I believe in pro-life and having an abortion is not the right decision because it is basically killing an innocent baby that would have gotten the chance to live a wonderful life. I believe that we live to help make our world a better place. I believe our primary goal is to reproduce and continue our family tree in life. It is important for us to respect others opinions and be accepting of what others believe in because they have the right to believe in whatever they want. I believe that believing is holding truth in something you say. A belief consists of truth and a defense to what you have to say. It allows us to hold an opinion that others may not accept or approve of. This is what makes our world so special. We are free to believe in whatever we want and that’s why we are so unique and diverse. We humans have so many different ideas to blend together so we are able to make extraordinary achievements.
