Did God Make a Farmer or a Factory Farmer?

Did God make a farmer? Did God make a factory farmer instead? These are two questions that are asked and answered by two different videos.
The first video is titled “God made a Farmer”. In this video, a man is talking to the audience about all the reasons God would make a farmer. He also discusses the reasons that farmers are beneficial to the community, the state, and the world in general. He begins with telling the audience which day that God created farmers, which alludes to the Bible and the Creation Story. He proceeds to tell the audience about all the reasons that farmers are beneficial to them. He talks about how farmers are “the care takers of the earth.”  After this, he goes on to give the many jobs that farmers have to do that many other people wouldn’t want to do, like stay up with a colt all night long. He also talks about the trials and emotions that a farmer deals with, like when their crops don’t produce enough crops and they have to wait until the next year until they can plant more crops for profit and for their families. With this video, the farmer is stressing the message that farmers are necessary for survival. Without farmers, people wouldn’t survive because no one wants to deal with the hard work and the emotions that a farmer goes through. Farmers are the caretakers of the people and the earth.
The second video is titles “God made a Factory Farmer.” In this video, a man basically makes a joke of the first video. In this video, the narrator contradicts every point the first video was trying to make. He discusses what has happened in America. He basically tells the audience that there is really no need for farmers anymore. He discusses the new machines that have come in to society that have taken over the work that is needed for a farmer. The narrator in this video is trying to prove to the audience that is watching that America is slowly going backwards. We don’t need farmers, which has caused us to become lazy, which has led to obesity. Another issue that this video is trying to point out is the fact that a lot of our foods have become genetically modified to the point that we don’t need the food that a farmer produces. This is a very interesting video.
I think that both of the videos are very interesting. I like the fact that the first one appeals to the emotions. I like that the second one is very at your face and gives a good background as to why the points that they are trying to make are the right points.  I think the first one could be better if the producers would have backed their points better. I think the second one would have been better if they would have used more emotion to make the points. I really enjoyed the first video over the second video.
